Future Spark is an exciting project originally conceived to power Melbourne's Earth Hour concert with bikes and solar panels. The 7000-person strong concert was a roaring success and the project continues to change hearts and minds across Australia.
We were contracted to breathe life into this new brand, including but not limited to:
- The Future Spark logo and device
- Colour palette standards
- Logo and design guidelines
- A language set, including straplines, vocabulary and ethos guidelines
As well as establishing it, we expressed the brand:
- Large-scale interactive on-screen system displayed at the concert, with live tracking of energy input and usage
- Website with CMS, blog and flickr integration.
- Live tracking of power generation by teams online, integrated into the web build
- T-shirt, fliers, posters and other print media
Why was it awesome?
Astride the obvious technical hurdles surmounted to display rider data in real time, online, news, blogging and so on was the need to present the Future Spark ideals in a fresh, approachable and exciting way. The engineers at ideas* are top-notch and allowed us the necessary wiggle room to breathe a vitality into the brand, as evidenced in the success of the event.
