About working with us
We’re expanding in fits and bursts all the time. Suddenly, a nice fat contract appears and we need support. We like to keep things agile but we sometimes need some external help. We’re based in Melbourne, Australia, but we work with other designers and developers worldwide on an as-needs basis.
Some things you should already know
- The importance of coffee. Coffee is the frothy face of God.
- Subversion. We manage pretty much everything with Subversion. Even our coffee breaks are tagged for release.
- HTML Strict and WCAG should be meaningful important things to you.
- Excellent written English. In the same way we don’t compartmentalise “coders” and “creatives” in separate boxes, we expect clear communication – whether you’re doing code or design.
The kind of folk we’re after right now:
- Front end devs – it would help if you were buddies with Eric Myer or Zeldman, but we’re willing to overlook that if:
- You can cut’n‘code from a PSD into semantic css/html and sing all the words to Bohemian Rhapsody at the same time.
- You’ve got experience with javascript frameworks (we use mootools for most things).
- You can do excellent web-oriented design when Will is busy playing Toribash and Luke is playing nGame.
- You can do some flash. Not essential, but it’s always nice.
